Class/teacher allocation

The formation of Prep classes is made in consultation with pre-school staff as well as the observational anecdotal notes made by our staff at the Transition activities. The formation of year levels for the year ahead, other than Prep, is made by the current year level staff in consultation with our Specialist teachers and our Wellbeing Officer.

All classes are compiled based on equal gender and ability levels where possible - please do not send requests to school in relation to class and teacher placement. Once classes are developed, no changes can be made. Families with specific needs can speak to the school PRIOR to the commencement of the class allocation process and these concerns will be taken into account.

Teachers’ names are NOT placed on class lists until AFTER the lists have been compiled and staff are NOT notified of their role for the year ahead until the December prior.
