A - Z Parent Guide
Celebrating at School
Birthdays
We understand that celebrating your child’s birthday is a joy and one which we are happy to share with you, but please note the following when sending a birthday cake, food or treats to the grade to be shared.
- At Beaumaris North Primary School, a risk minimisation policy has been implemented for children with severe food allergies – please speak to your child’s teacher prior to sending any food or treats to the school.
- Please consider the amount of celebratory items that are sent as it can be very time consuming for the teachers to distribute.
- Please keep in mind that many parents are concerned about the amount of treats that are given to their children without their permission.

Easter
Parents are often concerned with the number of chocolate eggs shared between students around Easter. If your child wishes to give an Easter egg to another student, we ask that this please occur only after school hours.
Many of the teachers of the younger year levels however enjoy giving their students a gift of a small Easter egg. If you object to your child receiving an egg, please contact the Office.
Christmas
We understand that celebrating Christmas is a lovely time for the children which we are all excited to share with them, but please note the following when sending in cards, gifts and celebratory food.
- If you intend on partaking, please do this before/after school hours – it is very time consuming for the teachers to distribute.
- Please keep in mind that many parents are concerned about the amount of treats that are given to their children without their permission.
- Please note that students will not be permitted to consume any treats at school.
