Old Fashioned Dress-up Day (Prep)
Prep students have an old fashioned dress-up day to support their Unit of Inquiry ‘ Where We Are In Place and Time’. Girls come dressed in a long skirt, petticoat, blouse, apron, bonnet and the like, and boys wear trousers, braces, a shirt, vest, tie and hat!
The children experience what it was like to go to school in the olden days by playing old fashioned games. Games such as marbles, knuckles/jacks, elastics, snakes and ladders, quoits, skipping ropes, yo-yos and board games can be brought in from home to play at school.
