A - Z Parent Guide
Working with Children Check
Anyone wishing to volunteer at BNPS is required to provide a Working with Children Check (WWCC). A volunteer school worker is a person who, without payment or reward, voluntarily engages in:
- School Council functions
- Activities for the welfare of the school at the request of the Principal or School Council
- School work
- Attends State or Regional meetings.
A volunteer can commence work at BNPS when a current WWCC has been presented at the Office, photocopied and placed on file for the school records.
Please note that this policy applies to ALL parent volunteer positions at BNPS e.g. Literacy groups, Canteen, Mother’s/Father’s Day Stalls, Uniform Shop, Bike Education, Excursions, Head Lice Detection Program, Sports Days, Student Disco, Class Representatives Program, Fete, BBQs, Market Night, Working Bees, Year 6 Graduation and School Concert etc.
We welcome and greatly value parent involvement in our school, so if you don’t have a current WWCC and plan to offer your services as a volunteer during your time at BNPS, please apply online via the link below – it’s free and valid for five years!
